"Convenient location to Stromness (walking-close) and the ‘top’ archaeological sites. Groceries, restaurants and pleasant walks nearby. Comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen; warm greeting from Kate and she was great at communicating along the way. Very comfy place; would definitely stay there again and want to come back! Did day trips to North Hoy and Rousay, on rented bikes, visting ancient sites and hiked to views; those were the best days of our entire trip!"

"We stayed at Hamn-Vagr for a long Orkney weekend in July 2017. Kate & Douglas could not have been more accommodating, meeting us at the house on arrival and providing useful suggestions on everything from local restaurants to grocery shopping. We took advantage of the well appointed kitchen to cook several meals at home. And the house is extremely well located, just outside Stromness and close to the Ring of Brodgar. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable weekend."
